Additional Information
- Current USU students who received the Legacy Waiver for Fall 2018 or prior semesters are not allowed to establish Utah residency. Additionally, any students using Legacy Scholarship Option 2 cannot use time spent on that scholarship toward establishing Utah residency.
- House Bill 286 was implemented May 1, 2024 and removes grandparent as an eligible alumni. In addition, it limits the university's ability to award legacy waivers that last longer than one year. Consequently, Alumni Legacy Nonresident Waiver Option 2 is no longer available after April 30, 2024. Continuing students enrolled prior to Fall 2024 will maintain their waiver so long as the award retention requirements are met.
- Other requirements may apply. For further scholarship information, please contact the USU Student Financial Support at 435-797-0173 or visit us in person at the Taggart Student Center, Room 106.
