Jonah Newton

Biography

Jonah is a lifelong actor, singer, and pianist from West Valley City, Utah. He is a student in USU’s BFA Acting Program and a recipient of the Caine Scholarship. He plans to graduate in 2026. This is his second season with the Lyric Rep, and he is thrilled to be a part of the 2024 company. Recently at Utah State University, he played Dr Benjamin in Waiting for Lefty, Lee Collins in Floyd Collins, and Oliver Rivers in Puffs. Other favorite roles include Bert in Mary Poppins and John Hale in The Crucible.
