Shaun Bartschi
Shaun Bartschi is a 9th-12th Math teacher at East High School in Salt Lake City School District. As a K-12 student himself, he often found himself thinking about teaching and being curious about the reasons for his teachers’ chosen methods. Outside of the classroom, Shaun enjoys running. He has completed two marathons to date and hopes to prepare for and compete in more races in the future. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, who he describes as his best friend.

Sarah Brighton
Math teacher at Altamont High School teaching Secondary Math II, Secondary Math III, and AP Calculus AB. Sarah has a focus on student centered learning in her classroom. Sarah grew up in the Basin and loves the people and the beautiful landscape. The love for the people drove Sarah to return as an educator after college to share her love of mathematics with others. Outside of teaching, Sarah loves to fish, mountain bike, and spend time in the outdoors.

Lesley Davis
Lesley is currently teaching Secondary Math II and Stat 1040 with a focus on Essential Math Skills at Carbon High School. She strives to create the essential math class to help those that really need it. Lesley is glad that her community is a safe, small town, where everyone knows each other. She is like an Energizer bunny and enjoys yard work, landscape, swimming, and kids. 

Emily Fitchette
Emily teaches Secondary Math, grades 9 through 12, at Uintah River High School. She loves the familial feel of her school and the close connections she has with her students and the community. Outside of the classroom she loves to garden.

Camille Gappmayer
Camille teaches Secondary Math III and College Algebra CE plus yearbook at San Juan High School. She loves how her community comes together to support kids. Camille enjoys being a mom, spending time with family, being in the mountains, and reading books (especially about mathematics). 

Julisa Gonzales
Julisa is a Secondary Math Teacher at InTech Collegiate Academy, teaching grades 8 through 12. She loves the small, supportive community that her school provides and enjoys collaborating with her inspiring coworkers. When not teaching, you can find her camping, golfing, reading, traveling, or likely at a concert.

Tamra Grover
Tamra teaches 7th grade math at Albert R. Lyman Middle School in Blanding, Utah. She loves that people in her community rally around others who are struggling. Tamra has a secret strength in cooking.

Derrick Harkness
Derrick teaches mathematics at Duchesne High School. He enjoys seeing his students participate in meaningful community activities and programs outside of school. Besides teaching, Derrick enjoys any chance he can to be with his wife and children. He loves doing other activities like photography and arranging music.

Tyler Haslam

Tyler teaches at Granger High School, where he continues to make a significant impact as both a math teacher and a football coach. He values the supportive community at Granger High School, where members look out for and care for one another. Outside his professional life, Tyler enjoys gardening, painting, and cooking.

Carrie Hughes
Carrie teaches Secondary Math and Personal Finance at San Juan High School. She loves Blanding because it is home. Outside of school Carries enjoys adventures with family.

Heather Larson
Heather teaches 7th grade math at Uintah Middle School. She loves living in Vernal because of the fact that you only have to travel about 5 minutes outside of town to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Heather also loves having a home where anyone is welcome. She is passionate about Korean Dramas and reading, especially books by Brandon Sanderson. 

Victoria Marsh
Victoria teaches mathematics at Taylorsville High School. Go Warriors! She deeply values community and sees it as the cornerstone of her work and life. She finds inspiration in the diversity and dynamism of her surroundings, believing that a strong, supportive community fosters resilience and personal growth. Victoria loves engaging with students, tending to her family farm with its lively mix of goats, chickens, and dogs, or enjoying the beach and the great outdoors. 

Joshua Nielson

Joshua teaches at Monticello Elementary in Southeastern Utah. His favorite part about living in Monticello is the easy access to the outdoors. One of Joshua's strengths is solving puzzles, especially when they involve numbers. He enjoys making connections and finding out how things fit together. 

Adam Rowley
Adam teaches Math I and Math II in Monticello High School. He is interested in integrated math pedagogy. Adam loves to see students discover data trends.

Joseph Runs Through
Joseph Runs Through is a teacher at Uintah Middle School teaching 6th Grade Math. He enjoys serving in Native Communities, getting to see kids that are comfortable with their culture (like wearing braids and beadwork to school). Joseph enjoys different forms of art; such as poetry, photography, beadwork, and music.

Richard Saloga
Richard teaches Secondary Math II at Uintah High School. He loves the outdoor recreational opportunities in his community. Richard has a strong work ethic and enjoys gardening. 

Ramsey Seweingyawma

Ramsey is working at Monument Valley High School, teaching 8th grade math and computer science. His community is an amazing mix of students who are given many opportunities for STEM. He is very passionate about data. Outside of teaching, Ramsey coaches basketball and enjoys playing as well.

Stefanie Simmons

Stefanie teaches Math and Earth Systems in Montezuma Creek at Whitehorse High School. She started her teaching career with 4th graders. Stefanie loves reading!

Lane Tait
Lane teaches mathematics at Carbon High School. Working in Carbon County allows Lane to interact with a diverse group of students and continue to build his own knowledge and skills. When not having students drop Barbies off a bridge, Lane loves spending time with his family doing a variety of activities.

Ana Thompson

Ana is a math teacher at Uintah High School. She loves Vernal because it is small and safe, has beautiful lakes, and has places to go shopping and eat. Besides teaching, Ana loves spending time with family at home or outdoors, and making jewelries with friends and family. 

Brooklyn Wilde

Brooklyn teaches Secondary Math II and Data Science at Ogden High School. One thing she loves about her community is the support it provides to students in need so they can realize their potential and succeed in the future. Besides teaching, Brooklyn enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and corgi. She also loves podcasts, RomCom books and genealogy.

Hannah Wilkowske

Hannah teaches Math 1 at Grand County High School in Moab. She loves to see students apply the mathematical concepts they learn to answer questions they are interested in. Hannah values the local outdoor recreation in the community and is dedicated to lifelong learning. 

Tye Winterton

Tye is a math teacher at Union High School, teaching Math III and AP Calculus. He likes the pace of life and the great people that live in his community. Tye values relationships and connecting with those around him.

Atlee Zipf

Atlee teaches PreCalculus, Math of Personal Finance, and Math Decision Making for Life at Union High School, and coaches soccer and baseball. He likes the friendliness of the community. Atlee's strengths include humor and honesty.
