Ramadan Iftar Initiative
The Service Center and the International Student Council teamed up to organize iftar meals in to-go boxes for USU students twice per week between April 4 and April 27.
On Mondays starting April 4, students were be able to choose a variety of cold items (dates, milk, fresh fruit, etc.) AND can choose a hot meal to take home with them. Every Wednesday, just a hot meal was available for take out. All food was halal, and was prepared by volunteers/staff with food handler training.
Foods were served out of the Student Nutrition Access Center (TSC 332) between 7:30-8:30pm.
Volunteers helped assisting in the cooking and serving of these meals!
Sponsors for the to-go meals included the Emerald Hills Institute.
