Legacy of Val Day of Service: Loaves & Fishes Community Meal

Special Event

Honor the legacy of Val Christensen by pitching in at the Loaves & Fishes Community Meal! Volunteers will be prepping and serving food, bussing tables, washing dishes, and helping set up and take down. Most volunteers are needed on Saturday, but there are a few slots to fill on Friday night for prep. Loaves & Fishes is non-denominational, but takes place inside First Presbyterian Church in Logan because there is a commercial kitchen there. Volunteers are enthusiastically encouraged to grab a plate and sit next to community members that they might not ever meet outside of this free meal.

Advice for Girls: An All-Women Ski Film

Special Event

Grab your favorite ski buddies and join us at the Eccles Conference Center Room 216 on November 15th at 7pm for a screening of Advice for Girls! It's free for students and $5 for the public. “Advice for Girls” puts a spotlight on the collective experience of women in the ski industry. The film showcases advice from three generations of women in skiing. Each generation reminds women and girls of all ages that they are worthy of success, allowed to take up space, and are extremely valuable to the ski industry. With an intersectional cast featuring all types of women – women of color, queer women, women with disabilities, and more – the crew hopes that everyone can find someone in the film to connect to.
