The first ALEKS Placement course is free for all registered USU students. Each course includes 5 assessments and 4 sets of modules. Each assessment contains 30 questions, and you’ll want to plan for 2–3 hours per attempt. Scores are uploaded into Banner within 24–48 hours after each assessment. Your highest score is used for placement into MATH and STAT courses. ALEKS modules close after 6 months; however, your scores are good for a full year.
