Campus Rec Welcomes Students Back With Host of Free Welcome Week Events

USU Campus Recreation will welcome Aggies back this fall with two weeks of free events. Kick off the celebration with Campus Rec’s biggest event, RecFest. Then spend the week doing yoga, playing spikeball, jumping in the pool, doing a color run, and much more. Events will span from Aug. 24 to Sept. 7.

“We did a smaller Welcome Week this last spring and it was so much fun,” Coordinator of Marketing Baily Kruzan said. “We’re excited to see new students in our spaces, trying new things, and being able to experience all that Campus Rec has to offer.”

Raffles will be held at a handful of the events giving participants a chance to win prizes like a free group fitness membership, a climbing shoe rental pass, an intramural membership and more.

Welcome Week Activities Include:

Week 1:

RecFest: Aug. 24, 7 p.m. at the Aggie Recreation Center and Aggie Legacy Fields
Cornhole Tournament: Aug. 26, 6:30-7:30 p.m. on the Aggie Legacy Fields
Tasty Tuesday: Aug. 27, 3-5 p.m. in the front of Aggie Recreation Center
Valorant Tournament: Aug. 27, 6 p.m. at the Esports Arena by Maverick Stadium
Intro to Belay Workshop: Aug. 28, 6-7 p.m. at the ARC Climbing Wall
High Fitness: Aug. 28, 8-9 p.m. in the Multi-Activity Court in the ARC
Log Rolling Competition: Aug. 30, 7-9 p.m. in the HPER Pools
Smash Tournament: Aug. 30, 6 p.m. at the Esports Arena by Maverik Stadium
