October 2020 Newsletter

Colleagues,

We, at the Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP), have a number of announcements for October:

First, we are pleased to announce the release of a new research and policy brief titled “The Status of Women Leaders in Government – Utah Cities and Towns.” Thanks to Dr. April Townsend, Rep. Candice Pierucci, and Brooke Smith who were co-authors on this study. The first in this 3-part series was on the state of Utah and the second was on counties within the state.

Second, we have four free virtual events coming up in October and November (RSVP online) that are sponsored by the Huntsman School of Business and the Utah Education Network:

  2. Fall Workshop: Writing for the Popular Press: A Workshop for Utah Women (Oct. 29, 3:00pm-5:00 pm).  Presenters: Holly Richardson and Heather Sundahl

Learn more about the importance of mammography screenings by reading our mammography research snapshot and viewing our mammography infographic.
