In collaboration with the University of Utah, we offer education that will provide you with foundational knowledge, skills and competencies that foster excellence and promote inclusion. About the Certificate

To earn a certificate, you must complete at least seven of the nine modules. If you do not want to earn the certificate, you can pick and choose what modules you’d like to complete.

All courses are offered online.

What is the Leading with Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion certificate program?

The Leading with Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion certificate is offered through the University of Utah Executive Education. In collaboration with the USU Inclusive Excellence, we are providing this opportunity by covering the cost of registration with funding provided by the USU NASNTI II grant. This program is asynchronous and provides foundational knowledge, skills and competencies that foster excellence and promote inclusion.

All USU faculty and staff at all our campuses are welcome to sign up.

When can I enroll in this opportunity?

The Leading with Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion certificate program is funded by the USU NASNTI II grant. While funds are available, please fill out this interest form so our office can determine how many individuals would like to take part in this opportunity. If funds allow, we will contact you with further information about how to register.

What can I expect if I get to register?

You will first receive information from the IE Education and Professional Learning Program Assistant, Amber Reed, to confirm your registration (using a link provided by the Executive Education’s Senior Online Coordinator Andrew Wilkinson). In this registration form, you will indicate if you can attend the orientation

Upon completing the official registration and attending orientation, you will be given 6 weeks of access to 3 courses. Two of which are preselected, and one will be your choice.

What if I can’t attend orientation?

In the past we have recorded orientation. This may be the case again for those who are unable to attend. Please refer to your confirmation email.

What courses do I get to choose from?

You can find the courses here:  Course List. The official registration form will also list the available courses.

How do I complete the full certificate?

To earn the certificate, students must complete 7 of the nine courses available. You will receive emails from the online coordinator about your progress.

I’ve completed 3 courses, what’s the next step?

If you are wanting to complete the full certificate, please reach out to amber.reed@usu.edu for more information about how to get registered for the next few courses.

I’ve completed all 7 courses; how do I get my certificate?

After verification, you will receive a congratulatory email with a digital certificate and digital badge you can display on social media platforms. If you would like a physical copy of your certificate, you can request this in the email.
