Light Pole Artwork/Banner Reservations

USU Facilities manages and maintains USU's light poles and the installation of artwork on them. To reserve a pole for  your college or department's banner artwork, follow all guidelines listed below. Facilities works closely with University Marketing and Communications, and the USU Sign Committee to ensure compliance with marketing & branding standards. Requests should be made at least 10 business days prior to desired installation to ensure sufficient time to receive required approvals.

All banners listed on the reservation form map are managed by USU Facilities. Poles that are located along 400 North are managed through Logan City.

Guidelines & Approvals

Facilities strives to meet customer banner requests to the best of our ability.  In the event that you do not complete your reservation prior to the 10 business day window, please still submit your pole reservation, and we will make our best effort to coordinate with you on meeting your timeline.  However, we cannot guarantee service at times.  You will be contacted by a facilities representative to discuss what may or may not be possible in the shortened window of time.

When reserving your banner dates there can be challenges that arise that interfere with successful completion of artwork installation
Please take the following steps to ensure the work you request to be done can be completed:

  1. Ensure artwork has been approved through University Marketing & Branding. Facilities will not install artwork that has not been approved.
  2. Confirm departmental approval of request and funding
  3. Confirm banner pole sign meets proper size requirements
  4. Confirm that artwork printing and delivery will occur a minimum of 2 business days prior to scheduled installation date

Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation, please inform Facilities as soon as possible by calling Facilities Customer Service at (435) 797-1947 or (435) 797-3535. In the event that installation has already occurred prior to cancellation, the department may incur charges.

Sizing, Delivery & Pricing

Sizing

The USU Logan campus banner poles require a banner that is 18" wide by 36" tall. Banners must have a 2” sleeve at the top to fit the pole, and grommets in all four corners. Ropes and fasteners for securing the banners will be provided by Facilities. All art work must be delivered 2 business days prior to installation.

Delivery

Artwork must be delivered to the Facilities Customer Service Office - Facilities Building Room 104, 2 business days prior to installation.

Pricing

Current cost of installation and removal for each pole is $20/ per pole.

Reservation Procedure

To successfully reserve a pole on the USU Logan campus, please walk through our reservation form.

Please follow the listed steps below as you fill our the reservation form.

  1. Select the dates you would like for installation and removal and click "Look up". This will populate a map will available poles.
  2. Click on which poles you would like to reserve through the Logan Campus. As you do so, the form will calculate how many banners may be printed and installed.
  3. A cost will also be calculated as you choose the poles you would like to reserve.
  4. Attach any additional documents you may have. Examples include multiple different pieces of artwork being hung side by side, or in a pattern down a walkway.
  5. After you have completed your reservation by hitting the submit button, an email is automatically sent to a member of the Facilities Customer Service team. They will reach out as soon as possible, confirm that Facilities will be able to meet your needs, and answer any additional questions you may have.
