Cultivating a Culture of Recognition

Within the division of the Office of the Executive Vice President, our teams empower all people to lead successful lives of involvement, innovation, and impact. From implementing technology solutions to welcoming the incoming Aggies and everywhere in between, our amazing staff members provide the infrastructure for our Aggie family to thrive. Nominate one of our amazing staff members for a division award. 

Deadline for Spring 2024 awards is April 1, 2024.

Nominate

The EVP Recognition Committee, in collaboration with the Administrative Council, will award up to 4 awards each semester:

  1. Efficiency and Continuous Improvement
  2. Innovation, Research, and Creative Excellence
  3. Community Impact
  4. Inclusive Collaboration

When submitting your nomination, please include detailed explanations that support the listed award criteria. This will help greatly in the selection process.

Award Criteria:

Awardees can be anyone in the division that has demonstrated one or more of the criteria listed.

Award 1: Efficiency & Continuous Improvement Award

Specific criteria for award 1:

  1. Intended to recognize an individual staff member for sustained outstanding initiative and creativity. The award identifies outstanding staff members who have significantly improved a work process or systems, or has significantly increased the efficiency of an operation within a unit/department and/or the Division, by diligently seeking to improve the quality of work assignments

  2. Making a vital contribution toward achieving the goals of the office, division or university

  3. Identifying gaps in your area and finding ways to initiate positive change as a result

  4. This award is given to a staff member who has demonstrated concern and commitment to fulfill needs and ensure satisfaction when providing services.

Award 2: Innovation, Research and Creative Excellence Award

Specific criteria for award 2:

  1. This award serves to highlight staff members who demonstrate exceptional efforts to learn new things, develop new skills and competencies, and expand their work responsibilities, as appropriate.

  2. This award is to recognize a staff member who acts as a champion of change

  3. Identified creative solutions, large or small in scope, that have made a significant and positive difference

  4. Supports or provides tools or solutions to serve those in research roles

Award 3: Community Impact Award

Specific criteria for award 3:

  1. Outstanding service to the university community

  2. Serving on a committee or team and creating opportunities for employees to improve skills and abilities

  3. Contributes to the success of those around them by investing time and effort in coaching

OR sacrificed time and energy for the good of their unit, project etc.

  1. Performing extra duties substantially beyond those normally assigned or working on ‘special projects’

  2. Consistently offers support, assistance and encouragement to co-workers, often without being asked to do so

Award 4: Inclusive Collaboration Award

Specific criteria for award 4:

  1. Creating space for an exchange of diverse ideas and perspectives

  2. This award is to recognize a staff member who cultivates inclusive communities

  3. Demonstrates exceptional work ethic and accountability

  4. Participated in collaborative problem-solving, breaking down boundaries and/or creating new relationships to improve the way work gets done.

  5. Consistently produces high quality of work (dependable and reliable).
