Research Clusters
These clusters form the foundation of the Center’s research and teaching initiatives. We invite all scholars, including early-career faculty and graduate students across the university, to participate in our thematic working groups. These groups will provide opportunities for interdisciplinary community building and collaboration, support for members' work-in-progress, and discussions related to members' inclusive research and teaching goals.
EcoArt Working Group
The EcoArt Working Group invites graduate students, undergraduate students, staff, and faculty to collectively learn about and practice translating our social science research into different forms of art with the goal of being more inclusive and effective in sharing it to drive equitable social-ecological systems change.
Feminist Inquiry Cohort
The aim of this research cohort is to discuss cases of feminist inquiry in an interdisciplinary, and dialogic format. The club is not open to undergraduates, but it is open to all staff and faculty regardless of discipline.
Race, Ethnicity, and Indigenous Studies
The Race, Ethnicity, & Indigenous Studies research cluster invites graduate students, staff, and faculty to spaces of being and connecting with each other as scholars and humans. We gather in-person and online to think, write, share, and heal with the land and our communities.
Environment & Climate Justice
Sexuality and the Body
This research cluster convenes faculty, graduate students, and staff to engage in scholarly dialogue around feminist, gender, and sexuality studies across the disciplines and cultural and linguistic traditions. We do so through workshops of faculty's writing-in-progress; discussions of key readings, be it classics or groundbreaking, new publications; film screenings; and book launches.
WIPS
This Work-In-Progress Brown Bag series for faculty and graduate students is the place to share work-in-progress related to inequality and intersectional analysis. The goal of the group is to connect grads and faculty from different programs and to provide space for feedback on drafts of thesis projects, papers, conference submissions, etc.
