Alpha Gamma Chapter of Chi Omega Legacy Scholarship

History

The Chi Omega Legacy Scholarship was started through the very generous support of many Chi Omegas from the Alpha Gamma Chapter at Utah State University and other friends of Chi Omega. Its purpose is to establish a lasting legacy of the Alpha Gamma Chapter at Utah State and to provide scholarships for the descendants of members of that chapter.

Who can apply?

Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for the SAE Legacy Scholarship:

  • Qualified undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the SAE Grant once during their time (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year) at USU.
  • Be a child or grandchild of a member of the PKI Chapter or Utah Upsilon Chapter of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
  • Be admissible to Utah State University (date of acceptance to USU can be any date prior to the first day of school).
  • Have a 3.00 high school GPA
  • Be a US Citizen
  • Be attending USU in the year they receive the award.

When will I be notified?

Recipients will be notified in May if they are awarded the scholarship.

How many scholarships are awarded?

Every student who applies and meets the requirements will receive the scholarship. The amount of the scholarship will vary, depending upon the available funding and the number of applications.

How do I get an application

How are the applications judged?

The available funding for the scholarship will be divided equally amongst all students who apply and meet the requirements.
