Internship Applications
Experiential learning is a process through which students develop knowledge, skills, and values from direct experience outside a traditional academic setting. It encompasses internships, service learning, practicums, student teaching, undergraduate research, study abroad, and other creative and professional work experiences.
Title IX Policy
Utah State University believes in fostering respect and dignity for all members of the USU community and addresses sexual misconduct and discrimination in all its forms. USU enforces Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, a federal law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Under the law, sex-based discrimination includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, relationship violence, and sex-based stalking. These behaviors are prohibited at USU and are collectively called “sexual misconduct” in interim USU policies 339, 339A, and 339B.
Students participating in out of classroom learning experiences (internships, practicums, student teaching, field work, etc.) have the right to an environment free from sexual misconduct and discrimination. USU takes its Title IX obligations seriously and works to foster a safe and welcoming environment free of sexual misconduct. Internship Reporting
We encourage all staff and faculty to report internship completions as they learn about them to help us create a more accurate picture of internship engagement across the USU system. Please report all internship completion you learn about from students whether they are completed for or not for credit.
