Intersectional Feminists of Utah State
The Women and Gender Issues Society (W.A.G.I.S.) is the Women and Gender Program's student club at Utah State University. They are involved in women's rights and gender issues on the student level. If you are interested in finding out more about the club events, or getting involved, send them an email or stop by one of our meetings!
History
The Women and Gender Issues Society started as the Perspectives Club in 2012 under the Center for Women and Gender. They held book clubs, hosted sexual assault awareness initiatives, and published an annual journal featuring the work and efforts of students at USU toward gender equity. The club officially moved with the student focused programming to the Inclusion Center in 2019 and changed their name in 2022 to better reflect their mission and intersectional focus.
