Youth Conservatory

Since 1978

For over four decades the Utah State University Youth Conservatory (YC) has been training hundreds of aspiring piano teachers while inspiring pre-college students to foster a lifelong love of music in a learning environment filled with enthusiasm and enjoyment. Each week, over 100 young pianists, ages 2-18, of varying abilities and backgrounds, come to the Chase Fine Arts Center for private piano lessons and group music classes taught by the USU piano majors. Our unique program offers weekly private instruction, group classes, and exciting performance opportunities. YC students progress through the Achievement in Music program where they earn medals for yearly exams in the areas of sight reading, technique, ear training, music theory, and performance. We look forward to making music with you!
