Center for Empowering Teaching Excellence Committees

All events, programs, and publications offered through the Center of Empowering Teaching Excellence have direct stakeholder input from faculty, staff, and students providing a diversity of thought and insights into relevant and evidence-based programming.

Faculty Committee

The ETE Faculty Committee was created to facilitate the primary goal of the Center for Empowering Teaching Excellence (ETE), which is to “elevate and promote a culture of teaching excellence” at Utah State University. Committee members serve to represent each college as well as representation from Statewide Campuses.

Subcommittees

ETE Subcommittees exist to help distribute the responsibilities of ETE into manageable and sensible segments. ETE has five subcommittees whose responsibilities range from planning events to creating new programming to promoting publications. The composition of each subcommittee varies as subcommittees include more than just ETE Faculty Committee members; however, the Chair of each ETE subcommittee must be a member of the ETE Faculty Committee. The subcommittees are:

Executive Committee

The ETE Executive Committee serves as an advisory board supporting and promoting the mission of ETE and ensuring ETE continues to reflect the Provost’s Office academic values and the culture of teaching excellence across the USU-system.

Ambassadors

The ETE Ambassadors are former ETE Faculty Committee members who have served their period rotation and have pulled back from leading ETE activities. The role of ETE Ambassadors is to share information about ETE and encourage instructors in their department, college, and service activities to participate in professional development.
