Springboard to Action!

Building a Better Syllabus

The Springboard to Action! Series events are yearly workshops sponsored by the Center for Empowering Teaching Excellence. These workshops are designed for USU instructors to dedicate the day and implement a practice in their teaching that they had been planning on doing. Each Springboard workshop has a different theme.

Workshop Details and Agenda

Tuesday, March 12, 2024 | 10:00am - 3:00pm | LSB 207 and Virtual

This year's Springboard to Action Series event is on building a better syllabus starting from picking your IDEA objectives to unmasking the hidden syllabus. Participants will be presented with several short ignition ideas by facilitators, participate in breakouts, evaluate and make changes to their own syllabus, and receive feedback from their group and designated facilitator.

The virtual option will only be available to instructors not located on Logan Campus or those needing the accommodation. All Logan Campus instructors are expected to attend the workshop in person.

There is a 30 participant cap for in-person attendance and a 30 participant cap for virtual attendance (60 participant cap total).
