Transfer Guide

Using the transfer guide below, you can review how courses transfer to USU from many higher education institutions. Remember, there are more factors to consider on how a course’s credits transfer (grades, the year a course is taken, etc.). Final decisions will be made by USU’s articulation staff, in conjunction with the academic departments.

Course Evaluation Description

Once your transcripts are received by Utah State University, the transcripts will be processed by the articulation team. Courses that have not yet been reviewed will be sent to their respective departments for evaluation. Please allow two to three weeks for completion.

Transfer Associate Degrees

All breadth general education will be waived with a conferred Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of Arts and Sciences except the CL1, CL2, BAI, and QL requirements, if an equivalent course has not been completed. For more information about Transfer Associate Degrees, visit the University Catalog.

Transfer Interstate Passport

All breadth general education will be waived except the BAI with an Interstate Passport awarded fall 2016 or later.
