The Institute of Government and Politics offers year-round internship opportunities for students from all majors and backgrounds. Whether you are interested in working with local politicians or non-profit organizations, getting involved in the private sector, or taking an active role in politics on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., there's an internship for you.

Overview

The IOGP has connections with many government organizations across the Wasatch Front. Interning locally and throughout the state allows students the opportunity to make a difference in their community and gain valuable skills and experience. Many students that choose to intern locally can continue to take classes at USU. Internships are available to students in all majors and disciplines. Applications & Deadlines

All internships provided through the IOGP must be applied for using the IOGP application. Applications are completed online. The Institute takes applications on a rolling basis, but general deadlines for spring, summer, and fall internships are outlined below.
