USU has partnered with the Peruvian Embassy in Washington D.C. to offer internships for USU students. The embassy's main political issues of interest are the fight against drug trafficking, terrorism and corruption, as well as the protection and promotion of democracy and human rights. The Embassy of Peru also follows judicial, immigration and defense-related matters as well as social issues such as health, education, gender themes and other political and social areas in which Peru and the United States share a common interest. 

Requirements

Travel and Internship Requirements

- At least 18 years of age 
- Proficiency in English

Academic Requirements

- Must be a student in good academic standing
- Must enroll in 3-12 IOGP course credits

Costs

Not included

- Travel expenses (i.e., airfare and airport transfers)
- Housing (Interns can apply for USU housing in D.C.)
- Visa
- Food and spending money
