Accessible Parking

Accessible Parking Permits

Students, faculty, and staff needing accessible parking permits should contact their physician to complete any required disability certification documents.

Once certifications are obtained, individuals should contact either your state’s motor vehicle division or the Utah Division of Motor Vehicle to apply for a state-issued disability permit or license plate.

A USU issued parking permit is also required to park on campus, which will need to be obtained by visiting the Parking Office. Fee’s may apply.

Designated disability parking stalls are available in most lots on campus. Vehicles may park in these stalls, as well as all other regular parking stalls on campus by displaying a valid disability placard or license plate and a valid Utah State University parking permit. Parking in other designated reserved stalls or service stalls is not permitted. Disability parking in metered areas should be limited to no more than 2 hours due to the nature of short-term parking.

State-issued disability parking placards are for the exclusive use of the registered owner of the placard or for a driver while transporting a qualified disabled person.
