Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally-funded program designed to support students as they prepare for and succeed in college. The USU GEAR UP program helps students and families to see that it is possible to attend a school after high school, whether that is a 4-year college or a 2-year technical school. USU STARS! GEAR UP works in partnership and collaboration with schools, teachers, staff, and families. Services provided by USU GEAR UP include the following:

  • Career exploration
  • Summer camps and activities

  • Workshops and programs for families
