Biography

I am currently a Lecturer in Biology at Utah State University. I received my PhD from the Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology (EECB) PhD program at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

Teaching Interests

Introductory biology, anatomy and physiology, ecology, evolution, research design and analysis, global change biology, community ecology, Biodiversity, Plant-animal interactions, field ecology

Research Interests

My research examines the ecological interactions among plants, insects, and their natural enemies. I focus on how variability in biotic and abiotic factors influences the dynamics of insect populations and the structure of their complex ecological networks. I use experiments and models to identify how and why species interactions change over space and time, and the consequences for the ecology and evolution of the community. I am particularly interested in examining how global environmental change (GEC) and loss of biological diversity influence the structure and dynamics of complex ecological networks.
