The Department of Biology administers numerous graduate awards and scholarships available for Graduate Students in good standing in the Department of Biology. Applications are accepted electronically. Links to instructions and online application forms are above.
The Biology Graduate Student Association (BGSA) Travel Award Fall 2023 - Call for Proposals
Travel awards for up to $500 each will be awarded to three eligible biology graduate students this semester. Awarded funds must be used within one year of receiving the travel award.

School of Graduate Studies
Fellowships include the Presidential Doctoral Research Fellowships ($20,000/year for 4 years with a tuition award), the Martin Luther King Fellowships ($7,000 for one academic year with a tuition award), and the Dissertation Fellowships ($5,000 for the academic year with a tuition award).
Supplemental funding includes Graduate Student Travel Awards, ASUSU Research and Project Grants, and Graduate Enhancement Awards.
College of Science
The College offers several supplemental awards at the end of each academic year, including the Lawrence H. Piette Graduate Student Scholarship and the Claude E. ZoBell Scholarship . The Willard L. Eccles Foundation Graduate Fellowship is offered periodically ($ 18,000 per year for 3 years).
