Prospective Students

The Department of Biology offers a BS degree in public health with preprofessional training emphasizing industrial hygiene, environmental health, or public health education. The program prepares students for professional employment in these fields, with options for work in related areas. The public health degree is also a good choice for students pursuing medical, dental, or other health professional schools. Choose Your Path

New freshmen admitted to USU in good standing qualify for admission to the Biology and Public Health majors. Transfer students from other institutions need a 2.25 transfer GPA; students transferring from other USU majors need to be in good standing with a 2.25 cumulative GPA for admission to the 2.50 GPA for admissions to Public Health major.
