Biology Degrees
Biology degrees provide a foundation for graduate work or employment in prehealth, research, industry, or government agencies. The Department of Biology offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology with four areas of emphasis.

Undergrad Research

Research in the Department of Biology is done using the most advanced tools, at all levels or biology, and on a broad range of organisms including microbes, fungi, plants, and animals. The Department has a proud history of providing research opportunities for undergraduate students.

In 2019, 113 current biology majors reported being involved in undergraduate research, about 11% of all biology students.
