Museum of Geology Highlights
"Percy" the Utahraptor
"Percy" is a sculpture done by Justin Tolman for his degree at USU. Percy is a 1/3 scale replica of what paleontologists think Utahraptors looked like. Justin used the American Kestrel to inspire the coloring of Percy.
Local Rocks
Two cases of local rocks and fossils work together with the cross-section hanging
above them to show the age of each speciman.
Fossils
With multiple cases of fossils, you will find everything from coprolite to trilobites to plants. You can see how current creatures are similar to their ancestors and how different fossils are preserved.
