Brand Standards: Sub-Brands

Overview

At Utah State, sub-brands are brands related to the main Utah State University brand. Sub-brands are most often university institutes, centers, and labs that have been approved by the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) through the R401 process.

Sub-brands must be created by University Marketing & Communications, Trademark Licensing. Please fill out the sub-brand review form to see if your center, institute, or lab qualifies.

This site includes some of the approved university sub-brands. For a comprehensive list, reach out to University Marketing & Communications, Trademark Licensing.

Utah State University has an interest in maintaining a strong visual identity that symbolizes the Utah State brand and our university's impact throughout the state, nation, and world. To ensure immediate recognition, we use a limited number of colors for our logos: "Aggie" blue, white, black, and gray.

There are many options that can be used to promote a cause, show inclusion for minoritized groups and identities, and support cultural celebrations. University Marketing and Communications, Trademark Licensing can help with ideas, suggestions, and options.
