Access Your Videoconference Appointment

Sign in.

Log in at usu.mywconline.com.

Schedule a videoconference appointment.

Schedule a videoconference appointment in the Online, Ray B. West, or Science Writing Centers. Make sure the Videoconference option is selected when scheduling your appointment.

Text box is labeled meet online? The first option is meet in person. The second option is to meet via videoconference. The second option is selected and videoconference is underlined in red.

Log in a few minutes before your appointment.

Open your appointment on the schedule in WC Online. (It will be yellow.)

Find the Join Videoconference Button.

Click on the red Start or Join Online Appointment button on your appointment questionnaire. It is located under your tutor's contact information.

Get familiar with the videoconference setup.

Explore the videoconference room. Here are some noteworthy features:
  • Video and audio options
  • Screen share your paper
  • Chat feature
  • Import or export your file in different formats using the icon with the two arrows
  • Save versions of your paper with the star icon
  • Revisit past versions of your paper with the backward arrow icon
  • Print your paper revisions (hard copy or PDF) with the print icon
videoconference chatroom has a video option in the top, left corner. The right side of the page is empty, ready for you to upload your paper. The top of the page has several word formatting options like bold, italicize, etc.

Work with your tutor.

Your tutor will enter your chatroom at the beginning of your appointment. If they have not joined your session within the first two minutes, email them and the Writing Center (writingcenter@usu.edu). 

Your tutor will spend the next 25–40 minutes discussing your writing with you.

Exit the chatroom after the appointment.

When your appointment ends, exit the chatroom browser. 

A recording of your session and paper revisions will be saved to your appointment. You can access them at any point by returning to your appointment on the calendar and selecting the Start or Join Online Appointment button.
