NIRSA: National Intramural & Recreational Sports Association

NIRSAUSU has been a proud member of NIRSA since 1981, and has had many students and staff attend state, regional, and national conferences.

NIRSA comprises and supports leaders in collegiate recreation. As college and university students develop into future leaders, NIRSA members support their learning and growth by fostering lifelong habits of wellbeing. Leadership, teamwork, dedication, and respect are among the many skills exercised by inclusive competition, fitness, and recreation. Since its founding in 1950, NIRSA membership has grown to comprise nearly 4,500 dedicated professionals, students, and businesses, serving an estimated 8.1 million students.

Our network of passionate professional and student members drive the association throug volunteer leadership and is supported by the NIRSA team at headquarters, based in Corvallis, Oregon.

AORE: Association of Outdoor Recreation & Education

Association of outdoor Recreation and Education logoThe Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE) is an organization developed by and for outdoor recreation and education professionals and students. Prior to becoming an Association, AORE existed as a loosely knit group of professionals hosting conferences since 1984. Founded at the International Conference on Outdoor Recreation in 1993, AORE is a grass-roots organization dedicated to advancing the field of outdoor recreation and education.

AORE is the premier organization dedicated to serving the needs of recreation and education professionals in non-profit settings. Through AORE, members have a mechanism to interact with and affect decisions made by public land managers and the human powered outdoor recreation industry. AORE is committed to promoting ecologically sound stewardship of the natural environment and serves as a collective voice for its members regarding topics of regional and national concern.
