Campus Rec offers swim lessons for all ages and abilities in the best pool in town.

Learn-to-Swim Program

Current trained Swim Instructors will provide an inviting learning environment for your children to increase their swimming capacity from their current capacity to the next level. Please see below for what our facility is able to offer for group swim lessons.

Parent-Child (Ages 6 months to 3 years)

To familiarize young children (from ages 6 months to about 3 years) to the water and prepare them to learn to swim in the American Red Cross Preschool Aquatics or Learn-to-Swim courses. It is not designed to teach children to become good swimmers or to survive in the water on their own.

Preschool Levels 1-3 (Ages 3 to 5)

Orient preschool-age children to the aquatic environment, help them gain basic aquatic skills, develop independence and comfort in the water.

Levels 1-6 (Ages 6+)

  • Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills
  • Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills
  • Level 3: Stroke Development
  • Level 4: Stroke Improvement
  • Level 5: Stroke Refinement
  • Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency

Private Lessons

These lessons are designed for child and adult learners and give participants individualized attention to improve or master their swimming skills.

Together, the instructor and learner or their parent/guardian determine the session's goals, and the curriculum is customized to meet these goals.

There are many ways to register for a course. We encourage you to use our on-line store registration service.

Online Registration

With Your USU A-number and Strong Password

If you have an A# but your password isn't working, or if you have had an A# in the past but don't remember it, you can get help with MyID.

Please do not create a new account in our online store if you have had an A-number in the past, you will have issues logging in. Please use find your A-number through MyID. If you have tried recovering your A-number and stong password and are still having technical issues please email us.

With Your Campus Recreation Online Store Username and Password

New Customer

If you do not have an A-number and you have never logged into the Campus Recreation online store, you can create a new account.

Please do not create a new account if you have an A#, have had an A# in the past, or have created a Campus Recreation online store account in the past. This is for new off-campus customers only. If you have tried recovering your username/password and are still having technical issues please email us campusrec@usu.edu.

Phone Registration

Call 435-797-1785 to speak with the HPER Service Desk. This option will take a few minutes longer if you have never registered with us before, or if the shop staff are helping customers in-person. We encourage you to register online, but we are happy to help you over the phone during our regular business hours. At certain times and for certain courses, this may be the only registration option.

In-Person Registration

We are happy to help you in person at the HPER Service Desk.

Technical Issues & Cancellations

Please follow the directions above for registering online. If you are still having issues logging in, please email campusrec@usu.edu and we will look into your account. If you are having online difficulties, it may be quicker to register over the phone or in-person at the HPER Service Desk.

Cancellations can be made in-person, over the phone or by email. Course cancellations must be made more than seven days prior to the course start date in order to be eligible for a refund. Hybrid WFR course cancellations must be made more than two weeks prior to the classroom start date to be eligible for a refund.
