The OP manages a Mongolian-style winter yurt. The yurt is located up Blind Hollow, a short drive from campus up Logan Canyon in the Bear River Range. The yurt is maintained with USU student fees which means students get priority access on weekends and a discounted rental rate. To reserve a weekend at the yurt, refer to the reservation calendar for available dates and call or visit the OP to make your reservation.
Reservations for the 2023-2024 Winter season open at 9am 10/9/23 for current USU students and must be made IN PERSON at the OP shop. Non-student and phone reservations open at 9am on 10/16/23. Call 435-797-3264 for more information.
Student Yurt Hosts
Outdoor Programs hires students as yurt hosts for each winter season. Yurt hosts meet with groups before they rent the yurt and check the condition of the yurt in between rentals. Yurt host positions are posted and must be applied for, on Aggie Handshake in October. For more information on becoming a yurt host, contact Dan Galliher at 435-797-5525.

Please note:
- One night reservations/rentals are not possible. Minimum of two nights.
- For dates that fall within winter break (December 15th, 2023 - January 8th, 2024), students are charged the non-student price.
- Reservations for dates prior to December 31 may be cancelled due to insufficient snow.
