Group Appointments Overview

Group appointments are used when many students need to meet for a similar purpose (e.g., orientation, workshops, tutoring, testing, etc.). They differ from multiple student appointments with advisors in that appointments are booked with a group, or entity, instead of with an individual advisor.

The guides in this collection will cover the basics of using group appointments for groups that are already set up. Move through the guides sequentially or jump to the topic you are interested in.

If you'd like to create a new group, reach out to Sean Peterson.

 Group Appointment Facts

  • Group appointments utilize both Departments and Programs with "Groups" as the third level of the hiearchy, similar to that of an advisor. Existing departments and programs can be used or new departments and programs can be set up if needed.
  • Just like individual appointments, group appointments can have appointment questionnaire's associated with them. Questions can be added to the Department, Program, or Group level.
  • Users can be given access to manage a group. This provides a user with access to view, add, edit, and delete group appointment reservations.
  • Group appointments do not sync with an Outlook calendar. Instead, group reservations are viewed and managed directly within Achieve.
